What is Friction Skating?  I think that is the question that's on everyone's mind!!  It's Lexington's only retro style roller skating rink.  Friction is simply the name we chose, because the wheels rolling on the floor create friction as they glide!!  Most of us locals grew up many weekends as "other children" to Lynn and Reid Younts at Anchor Skating Rink.  That was a home away from home for most of us, and we hope to continue their legacy with our all new facility.  You can enjoy Inline, Speed, or traditional roller skates here.  We have some very big shoes to fill, and we aren't sure if we ever will, but we have provided a place for kids to safely visit, enjoy some fun physical activity, and make those same memories with their friends that us adults carry with us!!  We look forward to each and every weekend when we hear the laughs and screams as children and adults alike enjoy the nostalgic feel of the wind in your  faces as you swing around the corners, with the music pumping, and the mirror ball spinning around!  Come see us to enjoy Lexington's only fun family entertainment venue!!!
